Post Office War Memorial in Elgin
Civic memorials commemorated the war dead largely within geographical communities.

While the civic memorials commemorated the war dead largely within geographical communities, the extent of loss suffered in the First World War led to the dedication of memorials erected by churches, workplaces, schools, sporting clubs etc where members of those communities of interest had died.

Work to identify the location of all such memorials in Moray is ongoing. Any assistance to add to the current list would be very much appreciated. If you can add any war memorials to the list below, please contact the Moray’s War website.
