We hope to add to our understanding of how the First World War altered and shaped people, families, and communities.

By publishing articles over a four year period, we will add to our knowledge not only of events but also of attitudes. As the horrific realities began to sink in and the number of casualties began to increase, public opinion and individual perspectives changed.
